This math resource allows students to practice 2-digit division facts with remainders as they race to get as many cards as they can. This game is played much like the game, “War.”
This game is great to either laminate or print on colored cardstock. Students can work out their problems mentally, on scrap paper or the recording sheet attached if you want to see the students work.
Math Center: (Group of 2-4 students)
Students will divide cards equally among their group. With the cards facing down, each player draws one card and flips it over for everyone to see. Individually you will work out your problem and the player with the highest remainder takes all the cards. If it is a tie, each player that is tied draws another card and plays it. The winner of that round, takes all the cards. The winner of the game is the player with all the cards or if play ends early, the player with the most cards wins.
