Product Description
This is a powerpoint that coordinates with the Division Rap (long division) that I created, performed, and recorded. It goes through the steps, DMSCBR and creates a memorizing strategy using the members of a family. The timings work with Office 2010, but are not guaranteed to work with earlier versions of PowerPoint the same way.

Here are the lyrics:
Division Rap

The other day I decided to bake, cookies just for fun. The only thing that was left to do was give them to everyone. I made 15 of them all chocolaty and a perfect golden brown. How many cookies would everyone get? My smile turned to a frown.

You see my family has 7 people and that's including me, and I want to share my treats with them, very equally. So I sat down on the kitchen floor and began to mope and pout, then I remembered that I had learned in school just how to figure it out. There's a simple formula that's really fun. It's a division rap and here's how it's done.

Division rap, division rap, division rap.

First divide think of the D in dad look at the dividend and you will see, the number of times the divisor goes in as even as can be.
Once you get that you multiply think like the M in mom, a number times the divisor. Write it and move along.
Next thing to do is to subtract think like the S in sister. Take a product away from the dividend to get a number that is smaller.
Compare the difference to the divided remember cousin or the letter C.
And then bring it down like your brother would and think the letter B.
From there you will repeat the steps until you can no more. And at last you have a remainder R or for your dog Rover.

Division rap, division rap, division rap.

So now I knew just how to solve this classic case. With 15 cookies each would get two and one more for Rover to stuff his face.

Yum, yum. Division rap, division rap, division rap.
