Use this scavenger hunt game to sharpen your students' skills with division.
* whole number division
* decimal dividends/whole number divisors
* single step and multi-step problems
* bare number problems
* programmed answer card for students
Two problem cards per page. Each problem card has a division problem on the left and an answer on the right. Print out cards and cut apart to get 8 scavenger hunt cards. Tape them around your room in a random order. Students should be counted off 1-8 and then directed to the card of the number they were assigned. Students solve the problem on their starting card and then hunt for the answer on the other cards. Once they answer is confirmed, they will solve the problem on that card. All 8 problems will be solved when they are finished.
Students can use the programmed answer card if they need help understanding what a problem is asking them to solve or they can use notebook paper. You can have students work in pairs or individually.
These problems represent how division will be presented on standardized tests. VA SOL M5.4 & M5.5a-b
