Get your students up and moving with this fun division activity! Division can be one of the most challenging concepts for fourth graders to master. This activity allows them to practice their strategies in an exciting way. Students will travel around the classroom to various division tents. Once they solve the equation, they will turn the tent over and find a letter. They will then unscramble all the letters to find the answer to the riddle when they have solved all of the division equations.
This is great practice for division with 3-digit and 4-digit dividends. Students can work independently or with a partner to complete the Division Scramble. There are 4 different sets of cards.
- 3-digit dividends without remainders
- 3-digit dividends with remainders
- 4-digit dividends without remainders
- 4-digit dividends with remainders
There are separate recording sheets for dividing with remainders and dividing without remainders. The different recording sheets have different riddles to solve. The riddles relate to science content - magnets and energy.
Answer sheets are included.
This activity is perfect for fourth graders to practice their division. It would also be a good review for fifth grade.
