PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This project is designed for 3rd-4th graders who need practice division with 1 and 2 digit divisors with and without remainders.

Students will bring in a snack that they can pass out to their classmates. Possible snacks could be pretzel rods, starburst, crackers, grapes, etc.

Students will need to calculate how many pieces of their snack they will give to each classmate and how many extras will be left. Then they will answer questions about different divisors or different dividends.

This is a perfect activity for a Friday or a before vacation activity. Students will enjoy the treats their classmates bring in while using math in the real world!

I’ve included the editable word document with a direction sheet to give students before hand and a worksheet for during the activity.
