Students solve 3 word problems that use division. They must show their answer in three ways - a picture, a number line, and the division equation. They are prompted on the first problem for the starting point on the number line and what the division equation should look like. On the second and third problems, however, they must figure out where to start on the number line and write the division equation on their own. This is great for students getting ready to take Common Core and other state tests. These tests often ask multiplication and division questions by showing pictures or number line models!
This activity works well in stations or centers!
