This pack contains 32 fun and challenging word problems to practice and reinforce both mental and written division strategies when dividing large numbers by numbers up to 12.

Question cards include problems with 2, 3, 4 and 5 digit dividends.

Questions 20-22 are written in metric units. A second copy of these task cards is also provided using non-metric units.

The questions are strategically designed to enable students to use either mental strategies or written algorithms to solve them.

This set of cards is designed for small group, partner or
individual review of both mental and written division strategies
when dividing a large number by numbers up to 12.

Simply print and laminate for use in a maths rotations, for small group teaching or as a whole class game of Scoot.

These cards most closely align with the following CCSS
CCSS.Math.Content.5.NBT.B.6 Find whole-number quotients of whole numbers with up to four-digit dividends and two-digit divisors, using strategies based on place value, the properties of operations, and/or the relationship between multiplication and division. Illustrate and explain the calculation by using equations, rectangular arrays, and/or area models.
CCSS.Math.Content.6.NS.B.2 Fluently divide multi-digit numbers using the standard algorithm.
