Description

Students in your FSL class of Indian descent are sure to love learning some French vocabulary related to their winter/new year festival, which typically takes place in early November. This is a one page word search activity, with the hidden words related to Diwali listed in French, and English explanations or translations.

Answer key also provided, as well as a link to a relevant video playlist on YouTube (some videos in French & some in English). The wordsearch and the video links can be used as the starting point for a culturally responsive lesson that fosters inclusivity of all cultures within the French as a second language program.
