Use this cute activity to turn your speech and language students into little Kings and Queens!
This activity includes 31 different crown templates plus one blank template to use with nearly EVERY student on your caseload! Each crown includes "jewels" with various speech, phonology, and language skills to target. As you target them, use a bingo marker or crayons to mark them off or color them in to make the "jewels." Once they are all marked off, cut out the crown and make a headband out of ribbon, elastic, or paper so that the students can wear them.
The templates are all black and white so they require NO preparation - simply print them out and they are ready to go. This activity keeps the kids engaged and makes them want to complete the activity! Afterwards, the students loved wearing the crowns and pretending to be kings and queens.
The Phonology skills targeted include: weak syllable deletion, stridency deletion, fronting, final consonant deletion, and cluster reduction. Articulation sounds include: /p/, /b/, /t/, /d/, /k/, /g/, /s/, /s/ blends, /f/, /v/, /l/, /l/ blends, /m/, /n/, /sh/, prevocalic /r/, vocalic /r/, and /r/ blends. Language skills targeted include: categories (2), pronouns, verbs, object functions, spatial concepts, wh questions, and rhyming words.
See the preview for more information and pictures of the crowns included.
