WHAT IS IT LIKE TO BE AN ARCHAEOLOGIST!
The purpose of this activity is to provide students with a hands on, cooperative learning group experience. They will act as archaeologists and go on a dig where they will find, excavate and finally re-assemble decorated clay pots. Students will gain an understanding of the different types of jobs that are needed for a dig. Conclusions will be drawn and presented to the class. As a homework assignment, they will write about their experience and illustrate their completed artifact.
