1. The Cold War and International Relations
This DBQ topic looks at the Cold War and its effect on international relations through the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) and the Warsaw Pact, the U.S.’s National Security Council, Nikita Khrushchev speeches, and military technology. This DBQ includes more than just the United States and the Soviet Union but also Cuba and Fidel Castro’s ideals as well as the situation in Hungary and the Hungarian Revolution.
2. DBQ: Reasons For and Against Using the Atomic Bomb in 1945
This DBQ looks at the arguments for and against using the atomic bomb against Japan during World War II and explores some of the Cold War repercussions having to do with that decision.
3. The Cold War Influences in Africa 1960s-1990s
The topic is the Cold War's effect on Africa, specifically the Congo, Angola, Mozambique, and a connection to South Africa.
