Film director, Werner Herzog examines the calling that drives Timothy Treadwell to live among grizzly bears on an Alaskan Reserve. Herzog has taken documentary film
making to a new art form. In Grizzly Man he intrudes on his subject—Timothy—and exposes some of his idiosyncrasies and contradictions. As a viewer, we have to ask if the film offers a ‘fair’ portrayal of Timothy Treadwell.
Students love this film! It never disappoints. The content is rich with beautiful footage and powerful confessional moments.
