Copywork is used to help students develop good penmanship. It’s a technique that began when books were very limited and students often learned to write by copying from the Bible and primers. It’s made a comeback because it’s easy to do, it works, and many students are more willing to do copywork than more traditional worksheets.
This copywork unit has 4 different levels available. Level 1 has dotted letters to trace first and then guide lines to copy the words onto. Level two is cursive with guide lines. Level 3 is great to do after either level 1 or level 2 because it features text typed at the top and guide lines to write on. Level 4 is for advanced writers and features standard wide rule lines under the text to copy.
In all the letters you will get dodo bird related information. This makes it fun to learn about a fascinating creature while also practicing penmanship. Writing is quickly becoming a lost art, but it doesn’t have to be and fun practice is the perfect way to go.
*Because this unit has so many options it works well for a variety of age ranges. It will work for advanced 1st graders, 2nd and 3rd graders, and 4th graders who need a little more practice. The facts are also fun for this age range!
The preview shows almost the whole unit so have a look and know exactly what you are getting!
You can also get the pages blank as dodo bird notebooking pages!
