Students will practice the product rule, quotient rule, power rule, and negative exponent rule with this "Does it Match" activity.
Students are placed into groups of three and each student in the group will choose a different column of problems to work. If done correctly, the answers in each row should match. Therefore, after all students in the group have finished working a problem they should compare it to the others in their group. If the answers do not match they will have to work together to find out which is right and which is wrong.
This activity will force students to check answers and eliminates just copying work from your group members. Each person in the group will have to show work for their own problem.
