Application: Use this activity after teaching to compare place values.
Supplies Needed: None
Print the game sheets two-sided, or print and copy two-sided.
From one of the sheets, cut off the lower section and cut apart the eight decimal/scoring cards. Keep the cards together with the upper rules section.
Repeat to make four stations, each with eight sets of decimal/scoring cards.
To set up one of the stations, place the rules section on a desk and randomly spread out the eight decimal/scoring cards with the decimals face-up and the points face-down.
Divide students into pairs and direct a pair to one of the stations.
Players will follow the rules to try to earn the most points.
After players have played, rotate to a new station.
