This is a powerpoint file to use in conjunction with google forms.

The first thing you will need to do is create a copy of the google forms for each of the questions, the links to pre-made Google Forms are included.

Now that you have the forms set up and the QR codes made. Print each of these cards on color paper and place them around the room. Students will travel to each card and complete the task.

At the end of the activity take the time to summarize the results with the students. Project the responses from the Google Form. Google will generate a graphical representation of the data.

For each question have students determine if the question provided variability or not. What do they notice about the graphs of questions with no variability compared to questions with variability?

Understand that a set of data collected to answer a statistical question has a distribution which can be described by its center, spread, and overall shape.
Recognize a statistical question as one that anticipates variability in the data related to the question and accounts for it in the answers. For example, “How old am I?” is not a statistical question, but “How old are the students in my school?” is a statistical question because one anticipates variability in students’ ages.
