My students were getting "good" at solving word problems, but they didn't realize when their answer didn't make sense. They learned to hone in on the key words that told them when to add or subtract, but sometimes they missed the forest for the trees. I wanted to slow them down and have them practice re-reading what the problem was asking and then questioning if their answer truly made sense.
This features addition and subtraction word problems and is geared toward second or third grade.
