You could write to a vet, a dog handler, the local council or pound or a dog rescue charity) Think of some interview questions you could ask your expert and record them below. Make sure you ask ‘open’ and not ‘closed’ questions.
• 10 canine themed challenges (e.g. Watch a movie that features a dog; Think creatively about a way to support your local animal shelter. Could you help with feeding, walking, cleaning or fundraising? Could you make some posters that share the good work they do with others? Find out the correct (and safest) way to meet a new dog for the first time etc.)
• A selection of dog facts
• My dream dog would be…. (draw it!)
• K9 True or False questions (+ answers)
• Add the vowels to complete the canine themed words (+ answers)
• A canine themed acrostic poem template
