Product Description

Dog Number Order will engage your students as they practice putting numbers

in order from least to greatest in a variety of formats.

One way the resource can be used is for the students to take the dog discs that

have the numbers from 10-100 on them and put them in order from least to greatest. To differentiate the activity the teacher can determine how many discs the student should play the game with and the how high the numbers should go.

Another way the resource can be used is to put a dog bone as the center piece.

Students need to put smaller number discs to the left of the bone and larger numbers to the right of the bone. To differentiate, the teacher would decide how many discs should be placed on both sides of the bone and how high the value of the bone and the discs would show.

The large dog cards card can be used as anchor numbers. Students can add

numbers to the cards that are either less than the number or greater than the

number. Another learning task that students can do is to fill in the bones on the dog

cards. The blue dog has a given number on it. Students can put numbers that

are less than that amount. The yellow dog has an amount on it and the

students will write numbers that are greater than that number.

Another task extends the concept by having dog discs that have numbers in the

hundreds on them. Students can use the discs to put them in order from least to

greatest . To differentiate, adjust the amount of discs the student must be able to put in order and/or how high the number goes.

The resource also has bones with hundreds numbers printed on them. Students need to put dog discs on both sides of the bone. Students need to have the dog discs in order from least to greatest. To differentiate the teacher can decide how many discs students should use and how high the value should be.

Students will also be able to use these dog cards to write numbers that

are less than or greater than the number written on the dog.
