This product includes two resources for writing. First, there is a fill-in-the-blank paragraph title, "I Like Dogs." Students complete the paragraph by filling in the blanks. There is a word bank for students who need even more scaffolding, but it can easily be copied without the word bank if you prefer not to offer it. This resource would work well for early elementary students.
The other resource is called, "Dogs vs. Cats." It asks students to choose which pet they like better, and then guides them through a paragraph stating their reasons. This also included a word bank. This can be made more challenging by requiring details for the reasons they choose, or keeping it simple for struggling students.
Each resource provides ways to diferentiate instruction, accommodate SPED or ELL students, and can be made more challenging for gifted or advanced students. I have also included sample "answer keys" that can be used as examples or to leave with a sub.
