Here, at last, is a writing resource that will help you and your students make the most of creative writing time. This little personalized dictionary contains, in alphabetical order, all the Dolch 220 sight words, nouns and a few other words I know students always need when writing. As well, it is excellent as a teaching tool for spelling, sight words, and vocabulary (especiallyif you are teaching ESLor special needs students.) It is designed to fit a legal-sized sheet of paper (2 letters to a page) and is arranged so that it can be printed correctly back to back and then stapled in the middle. There is also some colouring and a few practice exercises that you can all do together when first using it. I have included more information and some suggestions for use in a separate free download. I am also giving permission for a school or teacher to download one copy and then print it for as many students as are necessary in that school, with no extra license fee. (But please do not share the download or hard copy with other schools.) And best of all, it can be passed on every year with each student...so no need to print a new one.
My kids loved this dictionary... they called it "their best friend" when writing and would automatically reach for it whenever there was any writing to be done in any subject.Mini Dolch Dictionary
