These are flash cards with the Dolch Primer sight words on them, to be cut up and put onto cardstock for sturdiness or laminated for durability. Each card will have the word written and the ASL spelling of the word underneath it. Research is showing the fingerspelling while saying and reading a sight word can help a student to retain the word better than just reading and spelling the word. Plus it is more active and you can make a game out of it as well. Pair students up to practice reading, spelling and fingerspelling the sight words together. What a great way to incorporate sign language in the classroom and to include several learning modalities!
