Independent center activity for the Pre-Primer, Primer, and 1st Grade Dolch sight words. This includes an activity for 19 word lists, a total of 125 sight words. Each list has a two-sided student worksheet, a word list, and a QR code for each word. Students use any smartphone or tablet to scan the QR code. They will see the target word and a sentence. They must find the target word on their worksheet, write the sentence, highlight the target word, and read the sentence to a friend or to you. The repetitive nature makes for a great independent center activity. The sentences get more difficult with each list ranging from CVC words through silent-e long vowels. They are decodable enough to work well for advanced pre-k and kindergarten students, grade-level first graders, or as intervention for second graders. My students love it because they get to use the iPads, I love it because they also need to put pencil to paper!
