This set of worksheets encourage your child to match the boxed shaped words with a list of Dolch sight words and write them in the appropriate boxes. Each worksheet may be used individually and the set contains all 220 Dolch sight words.
"Box Writing" may be used to encourage the development of visual perceptual skills. children observe the size and shape of each letter and ascertain how the words fit into the corresponding boxes. "Box Writing" encourages familiarity of letter sizes (tall, short and those with tails) for handwriting. Practising letter sizes when handwriting can assist with writing legibility.
