Use these pages to document your students' progress as they acquire more sight words. Use this as assessment for learning - to make Word Work groups for Daily 5, before beginning PM Benchmark or Developmental Reading Assessments, to know which level of sight word games to play on sites such as abcya.com, assign levelled sight words as homework, et cetera.
There are 4 lines to record the dates for testing. I try to meet with the students every other month or so (especially early-level students) to check their sight words. Use the same page so you can see their growth - but use a different colour for each day. These pages are easily photocopied and sent home to parents/families.
Includes PrePrimer, Primer, Grade 1, Grade 2, Grade 3, and Grade 4 lists.
Find Pre-Primer to Grade 4 sight words for vocabulary games, read the room, flash cards, and word walls here.
Have students still working at the sound-letter correspondence stage? Check out my Initial Letter (Consonant/Vowel) Pictures - Sound-Letter Correspondence package or Rhyming Oral Language Activity for pre-readers.
