This Collection contains the other two sets and 20 additional words at a reduced price.
Dolch Words are used for teaching reading, and often taught through flash cards. These paper bracelets break the list into 5 words at a time, and have a place to write the date you have chosen as your goal for learning them. This allows a teacher to give each child the words they need individually, parents the ability to know what words they are working on and when they are due, and students can see them all day long and put them into their long term memory through repetition.
They are not numbered, so students cannot compare their bracelets to know who has read the most. For teacher convenience, they are on PowerPoint pages. There are pages which you can copy with one of each of the bracelets in order. You could make a packet for each student and just keep cutting off the next one. There are also entire pages of each bracelet, for ease in copying for the entire class. I would heavily suggest copying a few extra, as they may rip or get wet during the day.
To use them, you simply cut across the paper on the lines provided, add the date you have set as a goal, and then use tape to connect the ends while on the student wrist.
There are no decorations on these bracelets, to keep the attention on the words and they are easily cut with a paper cutter.
Bracelets are a fun way to share what you are learning. When students go to the lunchroom or daycare, everyone can ask them to read their words and work as a part of the learning team. You will have provided the stimulus for increased independent drill and practice.
