This resource is a dice game where students need to use their estimating skills and understanding about decimals to try to reach a total as close to 10 as possible. Player one rolls two dice (for the “tenths version) or three dice (for the “hundredths” version). Player 1 arranges the dice to form a decimal and records it on the sheet. Player two takes a turn…until both players have taken three turns. Players add up their three decimals and see who is closest to 10! This is a great way to continue to work on estimation and decimal concepts. Use to build fluency, as a review activity, in centers, or in an intervention group as a teaching tool. ENJOY!
