Welcome to “Dollar Deals”! These resources are no frills, ready to use stations, centers, lessons, and activities. Each is only a dollar because there are no “frills” or extras. Hope you find them useful!
This resource is an instructional game geared toward helping students learn and practice multiplying three factors. It requires each set of players to have 3 dice. 4 different game boards are included, and there is a blank card that can be customized by you or students to use with other dice—smaller numbers or larger.
The purpose of this game is to get students to realize that you can multiply factors in any order (the associative and commutative properties) and that they can make mental math easier by being strategic about which two factors to multiply first. Create your own rules for this game…create standard “bingo” 5-in-a-row, play until a player covers 15, or even just set a timer and conclude play when time is up. The “your choice!” squares are for combinations of factors that don’t appear—or who have appeared already and are rolled a second time. Once those squares are covered, players may need to “pass” if the number they are looking for isn’t available.
