Welcome to “Dollar Deals”! These resources are no frills, ready to use stations, centers, lessons, and activities. Each is only a dollar because there are no “frills” or extras. Hope you find them useful!
This resource is an instruction game geared toward helping students learn and practice division facts. It requires each set of players to have a single “die”, a card deck, and a game board. Two different game boards are included—a Christmas version and a more neural theme. Each is available in full color and in black and white. Each student takes a turn drawing a card as a dividend and then rolls the die for the divisor. For students who struggle, consider providing a multiplication table for them to check their work.
Once they have their “quotient”, they find that number on the key on the bottom of the game board. If the letter matching the quotient is open, they cover it with a counter. If not, they lose their turn. They will begin to understand that certain quotients appear more frequently. Give each child a game board for a longer game or have them use two different colored counters and play on one board for a faster game. Feel free to laminate the cards to use over and over or print in black and white and have students write directly on them. Have fun!
