This study guide is based on the book by Tod Olson. Comprehension questions range from story events and vocabulary building to grade level specific skills, such as cause/effect and similes. Questions also encourage students to analyze their own response to what they would do in a similar situation. Book level is appropriate for 3rd - 5th grade, but could be thought-provoking to middle school students also. The teacher's guide includes answers, along with page numbers to assist teachers and substitutes and to maintain fluency of reading groups. Study guide is four pages long, covering all ten chapters.
