If you've spent much time in recess or dealing with the aftermath, "messenger" problems are most likely familiar to you. Of course they can occur in the classroom, cafeteria, or even online as well.
In this lesson you will share with students 3 different "messenger" scenarios, along with questions designed to help students think about the motives and feelings of the characters involved. Students will then work in groups to write and rehearse their own "messenger" situations. Finish up by having the groups act out their stories and then posing questions they've written for the group to discuss. This can easily fill two 40 minute lessons, and perhaps a bit more if you video their performances.
