My classroom this year is full of sweet kinders who are on all different learning levels. Some of them are still working on beginning sound identification, some are working on ending sound identification, some on cvc words, some on number concepts, some on adding, and some on subtracting. The one thing my kiddos have in common is they love playing matching games/puzzles.
This pack has nothing but matching games but does not come with recording sheets. Here’s why: I try not to use too much paper in my classroom (mainly bc we’re only allotted a certain amount each year). Once my kids have had practice with each center and have shown me they can complete the activities independently and remain on task the whole time, I give them a dry erase board and marker. They then complete the activities recording their findings on their dry erase board. Because they have to earn the dry erase board, there are very few behavior issues. They know I will simply take it away!
Here’s what you get:
Pgs 3-16 Beginning sound picture and letter match (color & BW)
Pgs 17-20 Ending sound picture and letter match (bw only)
Pgs 21-28 CVC word and picture match
Pgs 29-33 Number & dot match (counting and numeral recognition)
Pgs 34-38 Addition & sum match
Pgs 39-43 Subtraction & difference match
