This game is a great way to reinforce money in a fun way! You will need the Don’t Break the Ice game, Count the Coins cards, and the Crush the Ice Cards to play. I printed mine on cardstock and laminated for durability.
To play: This game is best for 2-4 students. The students will set up the Don’t Break the Ice game. The Count the Coins cards are placed face down, as well as the Crush the Ice Cards. The first player chooses a card and has to solve the problem. If they get it correct they pick a Crush the Ice Card. The number on the Crush the Ice Card tells them how many times they can hit the ice cubes with the hammer on the game board. The next player then takes their turn. The object of the game is not to break the ice! If 4 students are playing they will need to play multiple rounds to find the ultimate winner.
** I have had so much interest from the students, I actually had to create a schedule**
