Instructions: These mats are used while playing Don’t Break the Ice by Milton-Bradley® (follow the game directions for play). Print the desired number and type of Don’t Break the Ice mats (I would suggest 1 mat per player). Either laminate the mats or place in page protectors. Students select the actual ice block they want to tap out and match it to the ice block on the mat. Have students use a dry erase marker to cross out the ice block and either say the word, answer a question, explain the meaning of an idiom, etc. Don’t Break the Ice game not included in this download.

**Printing suggestion: Be sure to select “scale to fit paper” in the print dialogue box.
