Teach kids how to develop self-control by challenging them to the famous marshmallow test. The marshmallow test was first administered at Stanford University by psychologist, Dr. Walter Mischel. The experiment was designed to study the characteristics of children who could delay gratification when offered the choice between one small reward given to them immediately or two small rewards given to them after waiting for a short period. The study showed that children who were able to maintain self-control, were generally more successful in life.
