Have some literacy fun with these adorable donut alphabet cards!
You can use these colourful cards in your classroom for so many different activities. I made a donut themed literacy task bin using these cards, sprinkles, and foam letters I found at the dollar store! Students lay the cards out on the table, sift through the sprinkles to find each foam letter, and place the foam letter onto the matching letter card. It's a fun and engaging task bin that strengthens letter recognition without feeling like work!
Another great way to use the donut task bin is to make it into a name building task. Only place the cards with the letters of the student's name in the bin, along with the sprinkles and foam (plastic, wood, etc) letters. Have the student put the letter cards in order and then match with the letter pieces! You can also use the cards as flash cards, a matching game, or putting the alphabet in order.
I recommend laminating the donut alphabet cards before using them in any activities!
I hope you and your students enjoy using these cards!
