This is file of 20 US History Activities, more specifically, poster-type activities. Each poster activity covers a different topic. See the list below. They were created for UPPER ELEMENTARY Social Studies. This is a BUNDLE, therefore it is 20 separate files, each covering a topic from US History. I have taken the 20 files that I sell separately and am offering them at a reduced price. :-)
Please know ahead of time that answer keys are not included. These are perfect to use while note taking or as a reflection writing after a lesson or unit is taught.
These top rated posters (top ratings on all posters) are a fun way to check for mastery of social studies (US History) concepts, and the kids LOVE them!!
UPDATE: I now offer this in my MEGA SS bundle
→TIP 1:I have had many people tell me they use these in their social studies interactive notebooks
. They have their students fill them out. Once completed, they fold in half, and then put glue on the back of one half. Once glued in the notebook, you just unfold to read the information. Because they have pictures for kids to color, it fits perfectly with notebooking. Plus, all of the information is there for review at the end of the year or before a unit test.
→TIP 2- Many have also told me these make perfect independent activities for when you have a sub. If you have already covered the topic, it makes for an easy sub plan!!
→TIP 3- If you are already using my top selling interactive social studies notebooks, these posters work perfectly to incorporate with the passages. If you are not using the interactive notebooks CLICK HERE.
HUGE SAVINGS!!.....By buying the bundled pack, you are saving a lot. If all of the posters were purchased individually, they would total $25, so it’s like getting a bunch for FREE!!
Please note that I think these are suitable for grades 4-5, but use your professional judgment when determining if you think they will work for you. It really depends on the state you live in as to which grade these US History concepts are covered in. Here in GA, most of these are covered in 4th-5th grades. I have even had some middle school teachers use them, but like I said, please use your best judgment. You are the one that can best decide if they will work for your students.
This pack is intended for use by one teacher. If other coworkers would like to use them, I thank you for purchasing additional licenses at a reduced price.
Get all of the details for what each individual poster includes by clicking on the links below. Instead of me typing a huge list of descriptions here about each poster, it's just easier for me to put links. If you visit the links, you can see exactly what is found on each part of all 20 posters. It will tell you specific writing prompts/topics.
Just like with my all of my posters, there is no answer key. They are open writing topics about US History. How the students answer the questions will vary to some extent.
