Doodle Math Notes inspired by the Math Giraffe for younger grades are finally here!
This product is a one-page note page on powers of ten and how mathematicians use exponents to represent digits in expanded form. Included is a sample note page created by me with answers included.
Students fill in important terms and definitions, practice this standard, all while doodling to encourage the link between left and right brain connections!
Doodling in math not only eases stress, it also allows students to make connections within content and encourage stronger retention.
I will be using these notes to teach my place value unit through Guided Math with fourth and fifth grade students. Students will use a binder format to host these notes. You may also want to use it for homework or independent work.
