Use this board to target:
/b/ initial words, vocabulary, Wh-question comprehension, understanding of object function/feature and negation or as a conversation starter prompt card.
Alternative ways to use it:
#1 “Tap and Say”
Prompt student to touch the word, then say it or talk about it.
#2 “Token Cover Up”:
After saying a word, prompt student to cover it up with a token.
Goal is to cover up all pictures.
#3 “Token Surprise”
To begin, have each picture on the board covered with a token. Prompt student to remove a token, then: say the word, answer a question or start a conversation round using the target word underneath. The goal is to uncover all spots on the board.
#4 “Eye Spy”
Use this game board to play good old fashioned “Eye Spy.”
#5 Cut game board into 4 rows.
Use to target identification of basic concepts, understanding of object function/feature and negation (within a field of 5 choices).
#6 Use as a conversation starter.
Prompt student to initiate and maintain a reciprocal conversation about each pictured item on their strip with a peer.
