Includes: 35 words with two letter blends, as well as some words with a digraph and blend. Each word has a picture. There is one blank tap and blend card, if you want to print and have students write in the sounds for a word.
-Fold the picture back so students cannot see it.
-Students tap the word, touching each dot while they say the sounds.
-Then students blend the word, touching the arrow as they blend
-Or cut off pictures to allow for a matching activity.
-Student can quiz each other with partners
-Use to teach tapping and blending of words
- You can also cover up the word, but make sure the student can see the picture and dots. Student then taps the sounds in the word.
Great for struggling readers, as blends can be difficult for them to hear, read, and spell correctly. Physically touching the dots as they tap the words, helps ensure that the students say each sound,
and the dots also help students visually see how many sounds are in the word.
