I use Scavenger Hunts to review a lot of different subjects in my classes. This one reviews working with double angle and half angle formulas. Students work in pairs or groups, solve 12 problems using double angle or half angle formulas. There are 6 problems using the double angle formula (2 for each trig function -- sine, cosine, tangent.) and 6 problems using the half angle formulas (again, 2 for each of the trig functions).
The problems are hung up around the room and students search for the answer. The card with the correct answer will also give them the next question.
Students have fun with Scavenger Hunts. They try hard to find the correct answer so their team can finish first!
It includes instructions of how to use the Scavenger Hunt, a worksheet that students can use to record their answers, and a homework worksheet that reviews the same subject.
