This activity allows for students to compare and contrast two characters from a fictional story using something other than the usual venn diagram.
Starting with the "double bubble" written on an anchor chart, bring students to the carpet and begin to compare and contrast two characters from a read aloud.
Fill in the differences and similarities for each character.
After the mini lesson statement " i can compare and contrast two characters", send students back to their seat with this sheet.
During share time, have students share out how they decided on what two characters to pick from and how they went about choosing which differences and similiarities to place in their bubbles.
Compare and contrast two or more characters, settings, or events in a story or drama, drawing on specific details in the text (e.g., how characters interact).
