I created this worksheet so my students can record their number sentences when playing the double compare game. One template is labeled "Me and Partner" the other template has blank lines and students can write their names in.

How to play Double Compare!
Objective - Identify which of two sums is greater
- Deck of cards
- This worksheet
1. Mix the cards and deal them evenly to each player. Place your stack of cards face down in front of you.
2. At the same time, both of you turn over the top 2 card in your stack. Compare your cards to your partner's to determine which number is greater. If your sum/total is more than the other player’s, say “Me!” If the two totals/sums are the same, turn over the next 2 card and compare these numbers.
3. Record the cards you pulled and complete the number sentence. Circle the greatest sum.
4. The game is over when you have both turned over all the cards in your stack.
