Keep your students guessing with these dog riddle task cards that help students practice double digit x single digit multiplication.

***As Featured on Teachers Pay Teachers Blog - Totally Teriffic Task Cards***

There are two riddles: "What shopping place do dogs avoid?" and "What did the dog say when he sat on sandpaper?" There are two sets of task cards with 11 multiplication problems per set (22 in all). Both sets come in color and in black and white. Each recording form also comes with an answer key.

My students love these activities because it gets them up and moving. I hang the task cards in the hallway and classroom and partner my students up. They walk around with their recording form and record the multiplication problems and the letter that is on the dog paw. When all the problems are completed, they put the answers in order from least to greatest (with the matching letter on the dog paw) and viola! They have the answer to the riddles.

These task cards would also work great in math centers, partner groups, or as an independent activity. Common Core Math Standards 4.NBT.B.5
