Boo! Here are two great sight word activities to play!
Please leave feedback/comments!
In this packet is a sight word activity to help kids practice reading. There are two ways to play:
1) 2-8 students can play. Each student gets a cauldron. Place all of the cards face down in the middle on the cauldron-I purchased a bowl from the $1 store to put the cards in. Students can pick a card and if they can read it, they keep it and place it into their cauldron. If they pick a BOO card, they have to place all of their cards back in the middle. The player with the most cards at the end wins.
2) Students pull cards from the cauldron (or a Halloween themed bowl). They write them down on the recording
sheet as they pull them (You do not need the BOO cards for this version). You can print out the color version of the recording sheet and laminate, then have the kids write the words using a dry erase marker. You can also print copies of the B & W version.
Teachers-Print on cardstock and laminate for durability
