If you are wondering what a logic puzzle is, it is a puzzle where you use clues, a grid, and some deductive reasoning to figure out who matches with what, or what items go together. It is a great way to exercise your students' brains!
These would also be great early finisher work, early work, or even a center!

If you have no idea what a logic puzzle is, you can see some instructions here from a company that publishes logic puzzles. However, I do include instructions in my unit as well. This may give you a good idea of what I'm talking about:

I recommend that students try the single matrix logic puzzles before attempting these. That way they understand the "X" and "O" concept of marking the grids. You can download my free logic puzzles to try here: Logic Puzzle FREEBIE
I started doing these in 2nd grade, but these may require a little guidance at that age, or could be used in a group or by your higher level thinkers! For 5th, the half page ones may be a little more easy, but could be a great logic exercise for your lower level students!
