¡Ay Caramba! is a fun and engaging game that allows students to practice double object with several examples. The vocabulary in this activity is primarily food. You will need to cut out the sentences first, mixing them and placing them into an envelope. Be sure to shuffle in the Ay, caramba! This takes some prep time, but once done, can be used over and over again.
Playing the game:
Students get into groups of 2. Each group will receive a key with the answers and an envelope with all of the sentences. One person will pull out a strip of paper and read the sentence. The other person will make sure their answer is correct. If the answer is correct, the person keeps the piece of paper and counts it as a point. The students continue taking turns. When the slip of paper Ay, Caramba! is pulled, the student has to return all of their slips of paper into the envelope. The Ay, Caramba remains out. The student with the most pieces of paper at the end is the winner!
