The following slides can be flashed through your computer on a projector, or can be printed out as large flashcards for the entire class. These took me hours of copying and pasting ten frames and "chips/counters," so please let me share my hard work! This was based off of what I learned in an inquiry math workshop at Purdue University Calumet, and really helped my students!
These are a great way for students to develop number sense and also help understand how to use 5 and 10 as a reference to build other numbers. These are great for adding 1 facts, doubles, doubles + 1, and many more facts. ?
I also print multiple sheets per page to make flashcards that individual students can use for practice or to play Top It and Concentration.
These flashes are combinations to 20 on double ten frames. If you like these, I also have single ten frame flashes, teen number flashes, and doubles +1 flashes. I am in the process of posting these, so check back if you don’t see the one you would like!
Flash each slide for 3 to 5 seconds, then click to the next blank slide. Ask students to share what number they saw and how they grouped this in their mind.
