Double Trouble is a 2-player game that allows students to practice multiplying by the number 2. Players take turns rolling two dice and deciding whether to add or subtract the numbers rolled. Then, players multiply the sum or difference by the number 2 before locating and covering the product on the game board with their colored counter. The player to cover three products in a row, column or diagonal wins the game. This activity meets or exceeds the Common Core Standards of Mathematics and makes for a great class game or standards-based learning center to practice the basic facts of multiplication.
