Product Description
My students and I LOVE this game.

1. go to Dollar Tree and buy a pack of $1 yellow plates, a pack of $1 red plates, and black tape.

2. Use the black tape to create two huge ten frames on your tile floor (or carpet).

3. Use the worksheets in this PDF for students to use while working on the large ten frames.

This is an exciting, inexpensive, and easy way to teach your students how to use ten frames and how to "make a ten".

Handout explanation:
Students will be given an addition sentence, like : 4 + 8 =
Students will fill in the ten frames to create a new addition sentence: 10 + 2 =

They will still have 8 red (or yellow) and 4 yellow (or red), but have now figured out how to "make a ten" to easily find their sum.
